Attaching loose rics and other mushrooms can be tricky because their excessive sliming makes glueing ineffective. Other methods with tooth picks, rubber bands and veil netting work, but are labor intensive and require materials to be on hand.
The AccliMate provides a method that requires no materials other than coral rubble or media of your choice. First, remove the sliding cover and the inner strainer box. Hang the AccliMate inside the tank and layer the bottom of the box with loose rubble. Carefully place loose mushroom pieces on top of the rubble, then slowly place the strainer box with the holes side up. This creates a perfect holding pen for the propagated mushrooms to reattach without being blown away by currents (especially in high-flow tanks. Can omit the strainer box in low-flow tanks). They should attach within a day a two. So much easier.
Such a great product, and even more useful than expected!
