Awesome product Wes!
Bought your AccliMate at MAX '09. I think you only had 3 left by the time I finally made up my mind! Turned out to be even better than I thought. Check out my "what do you use it for?" posts.
Anyhow, I'm going to show this thing off at our next little Central Coast Reef Club meeting here in CA. I just think this a cool product that no serious aquarium owner should be without.
Couple things I wanted to share to maybe make this product even better:
1. Offer a fitted/raised egg crate insert as an optional accessory for transporting/acclimating coral frags on plugs.
2. My "trap door" piece somehow warped slightly and doesn't slide freely anymore. No longer able to use as a fish trap unless I bend it back to shape, but this is only a temporary fix and fear it will eventually break. Maybe add an acrylic rib(s) along the doors length, or use thicker acrylic for the door?
3. Offer accessory pads (velcro) to place on contact surfaces to protect against scratching acrylic tank surfaces.
4. Recess the hole for the screw head so that it cannot scratch acrylic surfaces. and/Or, replace the metal screw/nut with a nylon version (corrosion proof too)
5. Nut/screw is very small to handle and manuever. I have excellent dexterity from years of piano lessons and I still struggle. Perhaps a larger size will help, or having a fitted hex cap for one hand operation.
6. Get your logo put on the product! Free advertising whenever your product is walked into an LFS/local frag swap/club meeting.
Again, a genius product that's hard to improve on....keeps getting better with alternate uses. Thanks Wes.

Wes,
Is there a simple DIY method to flatten the slightly warped door back into shape? I suspect it happened from leaving it in my van under the hot sun for a couple days. I suppose it doesn't take much heat to bent acrylic.

It would be tough to get it perfectly flat again I imagine. I'm not gonna recommend something and have you burn down the house, ahahaha. Email me your address and I'll ship you out a new one.
